My name is Kris Levin and Im a self taught concept art/designer student. I live in Sweden, in a very small town called Kopparberg and I love it here. Calm and sleepy place where you can truly feel free……So to the assignment.
This is my real first blog, and Im a bit nervous to be honest. This piece is the most important creative endevour I have comitted to, and I feel like it literally could alter my life as an artist. It requires all my knowledge and skills, and it pushes me to the limit and beyond that. Which I embrace with open arms to see how far we can take this. For many reasons, it is a dream come true and hopefully I will be able to, with luck and sheer hard work to finish it and call it done. But before that comes the journey.
Background
In the beginning of my interest in arts, I painted a flower that was visited by an emissive sphere. It was more of a doodle than anything, and several years after that, I wanted to take it further because I liked the idea that someone can light up your life with theirs. Much like friendship. What if this became a frame from a cinematic story, blending cutting edge technology with rules of the old Masters. If combined it can fuse those two together, and create an idea which is the The Last Flower of Eden.
The chance to create it came from above. I saw a competition in Luxemburg that a private museum was having. An annual event for all artists across the globe. It was a great motivator and right now I could not be more excited about it. It will make me hold a deadline, and give me the boost I need to really create what I see. An idea. But how? Thats why I created this blog, so you can follow it if you want to.
This blog will become a journal of the process. My ideas, thoughts, tests, failures, dead ends, and creative solutions. It will all be here. Exposed. Truthful.
This project demands alot of respect and discipline to finish. Let´s hope we have both now.
